There are diets that you can go on that will reduce the cholesterol levels in your blood. First of all, you can reduce the cholesterol in your blood by detoxifying your body. Detoxifying your body means to cleanse it throughout. You can do it naturally with supplements or you can do it with a lemon detox.

A lemon detox is a diet that you can go on for 3-7 days. All you will need is distilled water, cayenne peppers, lemon, natural molasses. You can mix about a tablespoon of molasses in the water and then add a pinch of molasses and lemon as well. This is the only thing that you can consume during the diet. It will naturally cleanse your body and help reduce a lot of the cholesterol in your blood stream.

Seventy per cent of the respondents said the changes they primarily sought were weight loss and health improvements.</p>
<p>Despite putting in time and effort to improve their health, they didn&#8217;t achieve the results they sought. This lack of results creates a sense of frustration and an element of &#8220;what&#8217;s the use?&#8217;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Before I get into menu tips, which are both nutritious and slimming, for the <strong>easy weight loss diet plan</strong>, there are a few simple principles to be outlined in the preparation and cooking of vegetables.</p>
<p>You are probably already aware of these facts, but it&#8217;s important to emphasize them as it&#8217;s obviously essential to maintain as much of the nutrition and goodness in the vegetables and not lose the nutritional benefits by poor preparation and cooking techniques.</p>
<p>Prepare vegetables as near the time of cooking as possible. Vegetables start to lose nutrients as soon as they are chopped, so try not to prepare vegetables in advance if possible. Obviously, however, we have to be practical. If you simply don&#8217;t have time to prepare the vegetables yourself, use packs of chopped vegetables, which are readily available from most supermarkets. These will have lost some of the nutrients,  but still provide a useful alternative in our hectic lifestyle, and are definitely much better for a healthy diet than reaching for the crisps or tin-opener.</p>
<p>Lightly-steam, stir-fry or boil vegetables in as little water as possible, as this maintains the maximum nutrition.</p>
<p>Never keep prepared vegetables covered with water. Nutrients leach out of vegetables quickly, and you can destroy their nutritional value by soaking them in water. Prepare vegetables at the last minute, and cook them as soon as possible.</p>
<p>Add herbs and spices at every possible opportunity. Apart from the natural flavor enhancement, the nutritional benefit is immense. For example, paprika has over 10 times the vitamin A content of cabbage or green peppers, both of which are in themselves good sources of vitamin A.</p>
<p>Eat the garnish! The purpose of garnish is to enhance the meal itself, not only its appearance. The garnishes utilized in many recipes (not just weight loss recipes) are selected for both visual and nutritional content; don&#8217;t leave them at the side of the plate.</p>
<p>Vary the quantities in the recipes and you&#8217;ll still lose weight. The beauty of a low carb – high protein diet is that the recipes are not cast in tablets of stone, unlike most other diets. If it is your preference to add more meat, or fish, or chicken, or vegetables, you can - without impairing the success of the diet in any way. Providing the additional ingredients are low in carbohydrate content, and you keep within your 40-gram carbohydrate limit, you can vary your menu according to taste without limits on quantities. What could be easier? All you have to do is to plan your shopping in advance, and your easy weight loss is assured.</p>
<p>Fresh mayonnaise tastes better, but, once again, commercial products are effective and satisfactory substitutes for the real thing. Some commercial mayonnaise even includes a significant omega-3 fatty acid component. But remember always to check the label for any undesirable ingredients.</p>
<p>Bear in mind that most easy weight loss high protein / low carb recipes are not just healthy diet recipes, they are normal high-quality meals (both nutritionally and gastronomically) which may be served on any social occasion. Your can entertain guests and provide them with a healthy weight loss diet without their knowledge! How much more considerate could you be as a host/hostess? You are caring for your guests&#8217; health and longevity, as well as their social entertainment.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Easy weight loss</strong> is within your reach, if you understand how carbohydrates affect your body, and are able to follow a few simple weight loss tips.</p>
<p>The problems with most low-fat diets is that in order to reduce or remove the fat, you have to substitute with carbs to make up the deficit. Since the government and many of the medical bodies have been pushing the low-fat diet, the obesity rates have been escalating. Personally I think that&#8217;s evidence enough that low fat diets are not the path to quick and easy weight loss – or any form of weight loss for that matter.</p>
<p>To be able to lose weight quickly, and keep it off long term (and by that I mean forever), you need to understand how your body functions with regards to it&#8217;s intake of carbs.</p>
<p>Essentially, all carbohydrates are basically sugars – at least that&#8217;s what they&#8217;re broken down into by your digestive system - that&#8217;s how the body receives them. For people with the metabolic disorder hyperinsulinemia or Syndrome X - any form of sugar, whether it&#8217;s a candy bar or rice, triggers an outpouring of insulin, the master hormone without which no fat is stored (hint: so by reducing your insulin levels you reduce your body&#8217;s tendency – and ability – to store fat).</p>
<p>The more carbs you eat, especially simple carbs (sugars), the more insulin pours into your bloodstream, and the more fat you store (assuming you have consumed more calories than you&#8217;ve burned). Through some very elaborate mechanisms in your body, excess insulin initiates a cascade of health problems: you make more triglycerides, more bad cholesterol, have higher blood pressure – and you&#8217;re likelier to develop gout and diabetes.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, the &#8220;healthy diet&#8221; the government wants you to follow gives your body a full two cups of sugar a day to handle - fine if you don&#8217;t have the genetic tendency to the insulin problem, but a true disaster if you do (and the vast majority of us do).</p>
<p>How do you know if you&#8217;re a candidate for a low carb weight loss diet?</p>
<p>Your family history is a good guide: If obesity, heart disease, diabetes, gout, and high blood pressure run in your family, there&#8217;s an excellent chance you have this problem. If you are overweight and can&#8217;t overcome it with a simple diet and exercise program, this is probably the reason why.</p>
<p>Ideally, if you&#8217;re really struggling with diets to help lose weight, you should have your fasting insulin level tested; anything above 10 is abnormal for men and most women, though some women test normal despite having hyperinsulinemia. According to the Eadeses, a high triglyceride level all by itself is almost enough to diagnose hyperinsulinemia.</p>
<p>If getting tested is not that easy for you, just try Brillat-Savarin&#8217;s idea: Just observe yourself. Do you crave sweets? Once you start eating bread, or pasta, or dessert, is it hard to stop? Do you actually feel better, free from cravings and energy swings, when you cut the carbs back? (Give yourself a week to test this, since it will take you several days to start producing the right enzymes to digest your new diet.)</p>
<p>Remember, if this is in fact your problem, it&#8217;s a health problem as well as a weight problem, and it&#8217;s important to address it for the long term, not just as a quick weight loss scheme. A healthy diet and nutrition is the only way you can control your insulin output, and it&#8217;s amazingly effective.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s always a good idea to see your doctor before you start on any healthy weight loss regimen - and in this case there&#8217;s a real bonus, since you can compare your bloodwork before and after and see for yourself what an excellent favor you&#8217;ve done your health.</p>
<p>Many a skeptical doctor, including mine, has been won over by the amazing results. If you&#8217;re taking any medication it&#8217;s essential to check with your doctor, since a low carb – high protein diet has such profound effects it can play havoc with your medications.</p>
<p>As Dr. Atkins explained, there are many gradations of insulin sensitivity within the hyperinsulinemia population - some people do very well with cutting carbs back just a little once they&#8217;ve reached their ideal weight. For others, carbs will always have to be kept at a bare minimum for life. The only person who can figure this out is you: Once you reach your goal weight, you&#8217;ll have to increase the carbs bit by bit - 5grams a week, and then hold for a week - and see how you feel. When the scale begins to drift upward, you&#8217;ll know exactly what your threshold is, and that&#8217;s where you should try to stay for life.</p>
<p>If you have more than 15 pounds to lose, it&#8217;s a good idea to read one of the low carb / high protein diet books, and choosing an easy weight loss diet program that seems to make the most sense to you. Then you&#8217;ll have a program to follow and answers to your many questions, which will make the diet much easier to live with for many months.</p>

<p>The very idea of a low-carbohydrate diet seems startling in this era of low-fat eating - which has necessarily meant low-protein as well, since meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and cheese, the major sources of protein, also contain fat.</p>

In the case of the low-fat diet, since both protein and Sat are down, the only alternative is for carbohydrates to take up the slack.</p>
<p>Although we don&#8217;t think of them that way, the hundreds of low-fat cookbooks on the market are in effect high-carbohydrate cookbooks. While most people scarcely think about carbs at all, for those who do tend to gain weight and have the family constellation of hereditary health problems associated with obesity - heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes - the sugars and starches that make up carbohydrates are a big part of the problem.</p>
<p><strong>The Relationship Between Carbohydrates, Insulin and Diabetes</strong></p>
<p>For them, carbohydrates trigger excess insulin production, which initiates fat storage, vascular damage that can lead to heart disease, and high blood pressure. In addition, if the pancreas keeps frantically overproducing insulin to stabilize blood sugar in response to the presence of more and more carbohydrates, the insulin receptor cells can become exhausted, developing a state called insulin resistance. And insulin resistance can easily lead to Type II diabetes.</p>
<p>For people who have this underlying metabolic disorder, the low-fat prescription has been a disaster, not only because it doesn&#8217;t work very well for any type of weight loss program, but also because it actually makes the associated health problems worse.</p>
<p>Many dieters make the crucial mistake of regarding the low-carb diet (low-sugar, low-starch) as simply a quick fix for weight loss, and once the pounds are off they return to their old ways of eating - even to the recommended &#8220;healthy&#8221; low-fat diet. But they find that along with the pounds return the health problems, including a raised LDL or &#8220;bad&#8221; cholesterol level, a lowered HDL or &#8220;good&#8221; cholesterol level, and a dramatic increase in triglycerides, a dangerous blood fat thought to be predictive of heart disease.</p>
<p><strong>The Low Carb Diet Started With Our Very Ancient Ancestors</strong></p>
<p>Although the low-carb theory may seem new and radical and unproven, it&#8217;s the basis of our ancient hunter-gatherer diet, and in fact has been the main approach to weight loss for well over a hundred years. The French gourmand BriBat-Savarin observed in 1825 what so many of us have noticed on our own: that certain people seem destined to be fat. The only way around this, he advised his readers, was to stop eating starch and sugar (he also distrusted eggs for some reason) and stick to protein, salad, and vegetables-especially radishes, asparagus, and celery (all extremely low-carb).</p>
<p>He noted that one could eat very well on such a regimen - remember, he was a gourmand. He also recommended wearing a snug belt and drinking lots of water, ideas that have passed into contemporary diet lore, and are now part and parcel of most weight loss programs that teach you how to lose weight fast.</p>

<p>An associate professor in the department of psychiatry and behavioral sciences at a medical university, she  is an appetite researcher.</p>
<p>Through her experiments, she delves into what makes people feel full - or what makes them want to eat more. Her findings have interesting implications for weight control and nutrition.</p>
<p>But right now, she wants a piece of cake. So she gets back into the cafeteria line and grabs a piece of chocolate cheesecake.</p>
<p>In doing so, she may personify her clinical results. Her findings suggest that when a food becomes monotonous – in this case, the hummus sandwich - appetites are revived simply by introducing a new one. That&#8217;s why we always have room for chocolate truffles even after an enormous French meal.</p>
<p>Variety is a great stimulus. It also means that if foods within a category are different enough in odor, appearance and texture, appetites may continue to be stimulated. After the chocolate truffles, you still may be tempted to try a floating island.</p>
<p>In one study of normal-weight individuals, people ate 15 percent more pasta during three successive courses when each course had different shaped pasta than when the three courses consisted of only one shape.</p>
<p>This doesn&#8217;t mean that eating a boring diet ensures that you&#8217;ll eat less. Easy weight loss crazes that focus on a few foods, such as grapefruit, may work in the short run, but ultimately, when faced again with variety, the weight is inevitably regained.</p>
<p>Variety isn&#8217;t dangerous as long as the choices are nutritious ones and part of an overall healthy diet. In fact, variety can help you stick to a healthy regime, if your diet gets too boring, you may be more tempted to abandon it and seek high-fat choices.</p>
<p>In another study subjects were offered four different lunches for three days each. Two lunches contained approximately 800 calories, but one was high in carbohydrates and the other was high in fat. The other two lunches contained about 400 calories, but one was low in carbohydrates and other was low in fat. Subjects were free to choose what they ate during the rest of the day.</p>
<p>What the researchers found was that people ended up taking in the same number of calories every day of the study regardless of which lunch they selected. They didn&#8217;t compensate for fat.</p>
<p>When they preferred the high-fat lunch, they didn&#8217;t eat less fat later in the day As a result even though they consumed the same number of calories over the course of the day a higher percentage of their calories came from fat when they ate the high-tat lunch than the low-lat lunch</p>
<p>This demonstrates that low-fat foods may help decrease consumption of fat but may not necessarily minimize calories. Even so, if a smaller proportion of calories in the diet come from fat, weight loss can still occur.</p>
<p>The moral – Don&#8217;t narrow your choices on any easy weight loss program in an attempt to avoid temptation. Instead expand your list of acceptable items to include nutritious alternatives that are just as tasty.</p>

<p>A recent Gallup poll indicated that 31 percent of American women between the ages of 19 and 39 are on a diet at least once a month and 16 percent consider themselves perpetual dieters. The overall recidivism rate for weight loss today is more than 90 percent. That means that fewer than 1 out of 10 dieters are able to keep the weight off.</p>
<p>Despite the metabolic effects of yo-yoing, failed dieters should not lose heart. It doesn&#8217;t mean you throw in the towel - it just means you diet sensibly and knowledgeably with <strong>healthy diet</strong> plans, <strong>easy weight loss programs</strong> and sustainable <strong>exercise plans</strong>.</p>
<p>And, more significantly, it means you put as much effort into maintaining your new weight as you did in reaching it. Unfortunately, that is not what most struggling weight-watchers really want lo hear.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not as exciting to keep the weight off as it was in losing it. There&#8217;s not as much motivation, but you have to learn to change your behavior permanently.</p>
<p>I learned from personal experience. At 15 I weighed almost 200 pounds. I followed a career in nutrition and some continual work at changing my attitudes about food have helped me lose weight and keep it off.</p>
<p>Weight management is not a temporary thing. If you want a different weight you have to change the behavior that is supporting your current weight. That means changing the way you think about and behave around food as well as changing what you eat.</p>
<p>But behavior change is easier said than done. Many people are willing to make changes to get the weight off, but then go right back to the lifestyle that they had before, or it creeps back over the course of several months.</p>
<p>Our society prefers a quick fix. Even though it took you 10 or 20 some years to gain 30 or 40 pounds, you want to learn how to lose weight fast and have the results pretty much right away. And to have that we are prepared to sacrifice our health by embarking on unhealthy low-calorie rapid weight loss programs.</p>
<p>But the best way to lose weight is a slow and healthy diet in which you lose only 1 to 2 pounds a week. This way your body adjusts to your decreasing weight in a slow manner so you don&#8217;t lose muscle mass.</p>
<p>Just as important as your diet is a regular exercise program. Not only does it help preserve your metabolic rate allowing you to burn more calories, but it encourages your body to use up fat rather than muscle tissue as you lose weight.</p>
<p>Exercise becomes even more important as you age because your metabolic rate slows down naturally as you get older. In addition your body produces a higher percentage of fat cells than muscle cells the older you get. The good news however, is that regular exercise works to inhibit both of these natural processes.</p>
<p>So the best way to lose weight really is a healthy diet program coupled with a regular exercise program that you can (and will) stick with.</p>

And when you regain weight, you seem to regain it more quickly. It doesn&#8217;t matter whether you are 10 to 15 pounds overweight or 30 to 40 pounds, the effect is the same.</p>
<p>The problem with repeated dieting is that, over the long run, it can wreak havoc on your body, not to mention the emotional frustration of repeated &#8220;failure.&#8221;</p>
<p>One thing yo-yoers have in common is that they often go on crash, fad diets in an effort to lose weight quickly. The term &#8220;yo-yoing&#8221; was coined in 1962 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore where a health physician was studying a particular patient struggling with repeated weight losses over a year&#8217;s time.</p>
<p><strong>Why A Healthy Diet is Crucial To Long Term Success</strong></p>
<p>Any time you go on a diet that&#8217;s nutritionally unsound - that is one that&#8217;s not well balanced and that has too few calories - your body thinks you&#8217;re starving it and therefore reacts by slowing your metabolism.</p>
<p>When you decide to stop dieting, your metabolic rate - the rate at which you burn calories - will not have recovered in time to handle the amount of food you&#8217;re again burdening it with. So you easily regain the weight you lost and sometimes even more.</p>
<p>Exacerbating the situation is loss of muscle tissue, or lean body mass. One of the most significant things contributing to a Yo-Yo Syndrome is that people diet in such a way that they don&#8217;t preserve lean body mass. They adopt a very low calorie diet with too little protein and then fail to exercise – a guaranteed way to lose crucial muscle tissue.</p>
<p>When the diet ends and they resume their old habits of eating high-fat foods and avoiding exercise, they regain lat, not muscle. Their weight may be the same as before they began dieting but the muscle-fat ratio has changed and they are literally fatter.</p>
<p>Repeated bad dieting leads to a progressive loss of muscle. The less muscle you have, the less active your metabolism and the fewer calories you burn. It is a sadly repetitious process familiar to too many people. So before you start on the next easy weight loss program, think about how your body works, and if the program supplies everything your body needs to stay healthy.</p>
